Functions
To assist the Director in performing the state management function over early childhood education within the province.
To perform management and direction of activities of kindergartens, nursery schools, and childcare groups within the province.
Duties
(1) Management and Direction of Early Childhood Education
To take the lead in formulating and organizing implementation of schemes, projects, plans, and programs for development of early childhood education; and formulate and implement plans and solutions to improve the overall quality of early childhood education.
To direct, inspect, and urge relevant units in implementing regulations and charters promulgated by the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as programs, plans, regulations, and guidance issued by the Department concerning organization of preschool and nursery school systems, development of teaching staff, and implementation of contents, programs, and methods for childcare, nurturing, and education of children.
To direct emulation movements for development and replication of advanced exemplary models within the early childhood education sector.
To organize implementation of the early childhood education program in accordance with guidance and direction of the Ministry of Education and Training; and guide, direct, inspect, and evaluate implementation of professional regulations, programs, contents, and methods for childcare, nurturing, and education of children.
To formulate and direct implementation of professional development plans for managerial personnel and teachers; and plans for organizing competitions for managerial personnel, teachers, and children at the educational level.
To formulate plans and direct implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the quality of universalization of early childhood education for five-year-old children and preschool-age children; and develop key schools and national-standard schools at the preschool level.
(2) Other Duties
To coordinate implementation and assessment of the level of information technology application and digital transformation in early childhood education.
To act as the focal point for coordination with units under the Ministry of Education and Training, including the Department of Early Childhood Education.
To proactively coordinate with relevant divisions in handling tasks according to assigned functions and perform other duties assigned by the Director./.
